Iceland (2012-08) : Un voyage fantastique, bien que trop court, en Islande. Principalement une randonnée de 6 jours du Landmannalaugar à Skógafoss ainsi qu'une course d'une journée sur le glacier Snæfellsjökull. Je publierai régulièrement quelques photos au fil des développements. A fantastic, too short travel, in Iceland. Snowball in black & white (2012-12) : I have been covering that event already last years: Spirit of Swing (Snowball 2011-12), Steven Webster at Snowball (2011-12-30) , Snowball's feelings (2010-12), Snowball at Chicago (2011-01). Again, this year this was simply awesome! From a photographic point of view I wanted, this time, to give a black & white vision of this so colorful event, in all meanings. I focused on catching some of these instants, textures, musical notes, moods, that when put all together made people have such a great shared experience.

Bal Swing'In Paris (2012-10-19) : Encore une série sur la musique et les danseurs swing. C'est décidément un thème que j'adore. Saisir l'intensité des émotions émanant de cette musique et du jeu des musiciens, l'engagement des danseurs, l'esprit de communion autour du swing. J'ai photographié cette série avec en tête un développement très contrasté, noir et blanc avec très peu de nuances. Je voulais obtenir des images aux lignes dures et d'un rendu très brut, un rendu en silhouettes et textures pour traduire en image l'intensité et l'authenticité simple de ces moments. La performance d'Audrey & Aurélien m'a complètement enthousiasmé, leur sens de la scène, leur énergie et leur sourire qui ne les quitte jamais. Sur toute les photos que j'ai pris durant leur passage, je n'en ai aucune sans une belle expression naturelle. Showcase competition of Snowball 2011. Along the way (2011-08) : Along the way (Le long du chemin)... Ce titre je ne l'ai pas vraiment choisi ! Il s'est imposé à moi tant ce chemin, parcouru à pied durant 7 jours, était présent et inspirant. Ses courbes, ses perspectives, ce qu'il révélait, ce qu'il gardait caché étaient autant de sources de réflexion, d'introspection et d'imagination. Along the way... I did not really choose this title! J'ai déambulé dans ce marché fantastique plein de couleurs, de sensations et d'ambiance, me laissant porté par la foule et par mes yeux. Je croisais les regards, échangeant longuement avec certains fugacement avec d'autres, sans un mot. Une parenthèse enchantée. An unexpected discovery in the last day of my stay. I walked in this amazing market full of color, feelings and atmosphere, led by the crowd and my eyes. I met the gaze, exchanging a long time with some people and quickly with others, without a word. Cette année encore cela a été un grand moment de partage et de joie, avec tous les danseurs, les musiciens et les chanteurs, en particulier l'extraordinaire septet de Gordon Webster accompagné de Naomi Uyama, Malcolm Holt et Steven Mitchell. Il y avait vraiment une énergie incroyable ! The Snowball is an amazing swing dancing event organized in Stockholm, Sweden, to celebrate the new year. Again this year it was a great time of sharing and joy, with all the dancers, musicians and singers, especially the extraordinary Gordon Webster septer, accompanied by Naomi Uyama, Malcolm Holt and Steven Mitchell. Hip Hop out of the city : J'ai aimé l'idée de montrer le hip hop en dehors de son contexte habituel, c'est à dire en dehors de la ville. Ici il s'exprime donc en pleine nature et devant d'improbables yourtes mongoles. Danseur et modèle Jean-Charles Joyss Zambo. I liked the idea of showing the hip hop outside its usual context, ie outside the city. So here it is expressed in nature and in front of unlikely mongolian yurts.
